For more than 20 years, our staff has been training and supporting professionals from all geographical and sectoral origins in order to facilitate their access to public funding. Our consultants are experienced in setting up projects in national programmes or on all European Commission programmes.
We provide guidance, advice, exchange and concrete examples to project applicants and their teams.
The founders of SBSM
Dr. Susanne Hollmann (CEO) is biochemist by training and did her PhD thesis in synthetic biology. Beyond her contribution and involvement in projects, she has outstanding expertise in the development and management of scientific projects, especially in EC programs and German funding initiatives. She also has been involved in the foundation of several companies. Susanne engages in initiatives on standards and SOPs in biotechnology and is currently member of the ISO TC 276 committee on biotechnology. She has been chair of the Cost Action CA15110 (CHARME) funded by H2020. Susanne is covering the field of RRI activities (public engagement, open access, gender, ethics, science education) but also active in all activities in context with communication, dissemination, exploitation and standardisation (data management). Susanne has extensive experience in reading the fine print of governance rules ensuring that the applications conform to the guidelines. In addition, Susanne use to work as evaluator for several national and EC funding agencies.
Dr. Babette Regierer (CEO) graduated in Biology and Theology and did her PhD in Plant Molecular Biology. Babette is specialised in science management and strategy development across the areas of health, plant sciences, bioinformatics as well as systems and synthetic biology. Babette is engaged and involved in activities in the field of RRI (public engagement, open access, gender, ethics, science education) and technology transfer, but also in all activities in context with communication, dissemination. Furthermore, Babette has outstanding expertise in questions related to IP management and Innovation transfer. Her experience encompasses more than 20 years of active participation in project development, design, and writing of competitive project proposals for national and international funding programs including the EU Framework programs. Babette does work as evaluator for several EC funding agencies.
